This policy review for urban and peri-urban agriculture development in Namibia report reviews different acts and ordinances bearing on urban and peri-urban agriculture development in Namibia.

It reviews acts of relevance to local authorities as well as local authority council regulations, town planning schemes, structure and zoning plans, local economic development and upgrading strategies, the latter with a focus on Windhoek. It also analyses mational policies and programmes.

The resulting report was validated in a workshop in December 2015 and describes policy gaps and constraints as well as policy opportunities for the promotion of urban and peri-urban agriculture.
