Mainstreaming Gender in urban agriculture research and development projects

RUAF partners analysed the roles of women and men in urban food production in 16 cities from three developing regions and tested guidelines guidelines and tools to bring women into the mainstream of urban agriculture research and development. The results were included in the publication Women Feeding Cities (Practical Action 2010). The case studies are contained in part 2 and the guidelines in part 3. Part 1 provides an introduction to main concepts and a synthesis of the results of the case studies and the pilot projects.
