5-8 October, 2010

Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada

The 9th Canadian Urban Forest Conference (CUFC9) in Truro, Nova Scotia. The conference, organized by the Town of Truro and Tree Canada, takes place October 5-8, 2010. It will bring hundreds of arborists, foresters, city planners, environmentalists and engineers together to discuss and share knowledge under the theme of "Water, Trees and Communities." Trees are being increasingly recognized as playing an important role in "green infrastructure" by regulating the hydrologic cycle and protecting municipal drinking water supplies.
Since 1993, the CUFC has been hosted by Tree Canada and a joint municipality including Winnipeg, Halifax, Windsor, Calgary, York Region, Kelowna, Quebec City and Strathcona County.

Register today at www.cufc9.ca to learn about the conference, event speakers and field trips, as well as discover facts about the Truro area and its urban forest. The Town of Truro and Tree Canada look forward to seeing you in October!
