This event will be organised around different workshops. One of them will deal more specifically with ‘Agriculture, Nature and Cities : enhancing innovations for sustainable development”, and will be structured around the following questions:
• Comparative approches of urbanisation, nature and agricultural interactions in the world. What types of development trends and innovation strategies in different urban areas ? What interactions between urbanisation dynamics, nature stakes and farmers' strategies ?
• Urban agriculture and social development. What assessment of urban agriculture policies and projects enhancing living conditions, income and empowerment of the poor or marginalized populations ?
• Local governance of land projects. What methods and tools enable local actors to manage land uses and property in periurban areas ? What type of local governance to integrate public and private interests ? What types of innovations enable land access to develop new models of farms or new joint projects with citizens ?

If these questions are of interest to you, you are welcome to send an abstract.
