4th World Social Science Forum: Security and Equality for Sustainable Futures

The 4th World Social Science Forum, an event of the International Social Science Council (ISSC), will take place in Fukuoka, Japan, from 25 to 28 September 2018. The theme of WSSF 2018 is “Security and Equality for Sustainable Futures”. 

The call for papers is now open and I would like to invite you to the session on urban agriculture that I am convening. It is themed Sustainable and inclusive urban communities through urban agriculture and aims to bring together scientists from different disciplinary perspectives, studying motivations and barriers for individual and group practitioners, social, economic and environmental benefits of urban agriculture for the local communities and cities as a whole, as well as enabling and disabling factors for successful interaction between the local stakeholders in planning, accessing and using urban resources especially land and water. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 17 March.
